- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the unusual behavior of botos or inia geoffrensis in the upper reaches of the Tocantins River, Brazil. It states that systematic and exploratory surveys of feeding activities and unusual behaviors, such as object carrying were conducted in the study using different methods including strip-transects, fixed-point observations, and point sampling. It notes that the study found that boats made prey more easily accessible for botos to locate.
