- Abstract
This study examines on-call working, which has emerged as a result of the need for flexibilization of labour markets, and which was regulated in the Turkish legal system with the Labour Code No. 4857 of 2003. The practice of 'on-call working', which is being defined as an employment relationship inline with the Labour Code No. 4857, is being discussed in this study alongside with the problems related to its implementation and with regarding to the doctrine and the case law, and solutions for the implementation problems are being proposed. In this regard, the on-call working is being discussed as a flexible employment type in the labour markets, and the specifications and social rights associated with this type of part-time employment is being analysed. In conclusion, the paper attempts to offer viable solutions to the problems related with the social rights that are being associated with on-call working.
