- Abstract
The article presents an in-depth discussion of the characteristics and analysis of ancient pottery of the Southwestern cultures of the U.S. as highlighted in the Western State College Gunnison collection. Several examples from the exhibits are described, both in terms of general features of the whole collection as well as individual items with distinct characteristics. Pottery examined focuses on items from the Basket Maker III and Pueblo I periods of ancient American history. Diagrams are also included highlighting the provided exhibits.
