- Authors
ROCCATI, G. MATTEO
- Abstract
Le chevalier bien advisé (the well-advised knight), dated 1486, is an allegorical story in octosyllabic septains inspired by Olivier de La Marche’s The Resolute Knight. The article presents the text, hitherto unknown, situates it in relation to the La Marche narrative and, by way of example, gives the transcription of a passage: the Parliament of Atropos (vv. 170-428, ff. 6r-12r). The table of the headings (ff. 66r-69r), transcribed in appendix, gives an overview of the contents as a whole.
