- Abstract
The article discusses the potential implementation of U.S. food aid reform efforts through alternative dispute resolution (ADR) as of 2014, focusing on the U.S. Food for Peace Act, international food aid efforts, and the role of the legislative process in U.S. policy decision-making. Donor self-interest and agricultural commodities are mentioned, along with the U.S. Farm Bill and the nation's Marshall Plan food aid program which was launched in 1949. The U.S. Cargo Preference Act is assessed.
