- Authors
Moreno Torres, Aurora
- Abstract
For a sector of society, opposed to the peace dialogues (extreme right), peace agreements must contain prison sentences for guerrilla and must limit their political participation, without guns. Other sectors consider instead that some bases must be established, on which transitional justice for everyone could be agreed; forgiveness and forgetfulness are not considered as political choices or the deactivation of the confrontation. The object of this study is to analyse peace dialogues process between the government and the guerrilla FARC-EP; the way how each one conceives what the application of transitional justice must be. The article discusses the arguments of the FARC, the position of the government regarding to a final agreement and the Truth Commission as fundamental element for justice.
