- Authors
VIZCAÍNO-ALEMÁN, MELINA
- Abstract
A literary criticism is presented of the short stories within the book "New Mexico Triptych," by Fray Angélico Chávez, including "The Angel’s New Wings," "The Penitente Thief” and "Hunchback Madonna." Particular focus is given to the stories' combination of U.S. Southwestern States regionalism and cultural criticism, which is referred to as critical regionalism, including in regard to regional folkways.
