Lasker Award Winner Kazutoshi Mori.
- Abstract
An interview with Kazutoshi Mori, professor at Kyoto University, is presented. Mori talks about his work in identifying the components of unfolded protein response (UPR) which led him to received the 2014 Lasker Basic Medical Research Award, the major influence that led him to enter into postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas (UT) Southwestern Medical Center, and his discovery of inositol-requiring enzyme 1 (IRE1) as one of the core components of UPR.
