- Abstract
The article offers simple practical strategies for use by educators and youth care professionals in the U.S. to prevent bullying in schools. A definition of bullying is given, along with anti-bullying legislation laid for local schools and communities. It suggests to increase adult presence in common areas, build relationships with children, and deal with cyberbullying. It also recommends to teach children social and emotional skills by integrating them into school curricula.
