- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the developmental assessment instrument created by child development researcher Mary Margaret Wood, called the Developmental Teaching Objectives Report Form (DTORF-R). The assessment tool measures social skills in children such as trust, group interaction, and response to new situations. The study tested toddlers at the OOBC Nieuwe Vaart special education school in Belgium who suffered from emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD), and measured their attention span, language comprehension, and trust in adults. Developmental Therapy-Developmental Teaching (DT-DT) and Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI) are discussed.
