- Abstract
The article highlights Gary Kobinger, chief of special pathogens at the Public Health Agency of Canada's (PHAC) microbiolohy laboratory, who was nominated as the Radio-Canada's scientist of the year in 2016 due to his contribution in medicine. Kobinger and his team have developed an effective treatment for the Ebola virus called ZMapp and a vaccine which are still in clinical assessment.
