- Abstract
This article aims to verify the effects of e-commerce on consumers' purchasing habits and attitudes following the COVID-19 pandemic. The problem of this research is: how did the consumer react to the changes imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic? Thus, consumer behavior profiles before and after the pandemic will be traced and related, as well as its effects on a new consumer mentality towards marketing via e-commerce. The research focused on the empirical-analytical method, involving a quantitative approach. Based on this, an online questionnaire was applied to the majority of the sample in São Luís-MA, which highlighted the deep immersion of consumers in the digital modality of commerce. An analysis was carried out of the changes imposed by the pandemic in commerce, but also for future contributions to academic research in the marketing area.
