- Authors
Stout, Neal C.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the summary of the opinion of the Nebraska Supreme Court in the case "King v. Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railway Co." and the guidelines it provided to help lower courts to judge the reliability of expert opinions based on epidemiologic data. It examines the guidelines in terms of scientific principles such as epidemiologic and toxicologic principles. It concludes that the court's guidelines for judging the reliability of epidemiologically based opinions are wanting.
