- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 58-year-old woman depicting with blue nevus of the pharyngeal mucosa, the first instance of a blue nevi occurring in an unusual site. The patient's result from histopathological examination indicate infiltration of non-nested dermal dark spindle melanocytes with fibrosis that suggests the presence of blue nevus. The presence of blue nevus in the oral cavity was noted to be have been caused by the intramucosal proliferation of melanocytes.
