- Abstract
The article highlights the eight annual Earth Science Week 2005 with the theme "Geoscientists Explore the Earth" to be held on October 9 to 15, 2005 in the U.S. This event is organized by the American Geological Institute(AGI) which aims at educating both the teachers and the students so that they can understand and appreciate the nature of Earth sciences. Earth Science Week encourages teachers and students to participate in any contest including essays, art making, and photography with the theme "Extreme Earth Science." Grand prize will be 300 dollars and one year subscription to "GeoTimes," the monthly newspaper magazine for the Earth sciences of the AGI.
