- Abstract
The article reports an educational study which aims to determine the critical thinking level and science intangibles understanding of above average high school students. The subject of the study are eleventh and twelfth grade students with above average scholastic records who attended the National Science Foundation Science Institute held at Carolina College in Durham, North Carolina during the summer of 1962. The findings of the study indicates that the students demonstrated a high level of critical thinking while the level of achievement between the younger and older students was not significant. It also shows that boys have higher level of thinking and higher understanding of science and scientist intangibles than girls.
