TWO WORDSWORTH SOURCES.

- Abstract
The article states that the English poet William Wordsworth knew and admired that the poem titled "Immortality Ode," can be found in his second "Essay on Epitaphs," written for English poet and critic Samuel Taylor Coleridge's "The Friend," but left unpublished until 1876 because of that paper's failure. Wordsworth's indebtedness is both verbal and metrical. There is nothing new in the idea of a poet searching the landscape for a sign of his departed friend or lover. The final line of his paragraph seems to be long, but in fact it repeats the rhythm of the preceding two lines, thus reiterating the sense of contraction and loss.
