- Abstract
The aromatic fraction of thirteen source rock samples from the Jurassic Haifanggou Formation in Niuyingzi Depression of Lingyuan-Ningcheng Basin were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometer(GC-MS). The aromatic hydrocarbon molecular compounds in the source rocks shallower than 302. 0 m are distinctly different from that in the source rocks deeper than 302. 0 min the Haifanggou Formation of the Well Niu D1. The 1, 2, 5-trimethylnaphthalene, cadalene, biphenyl, anthrance, perylene, chrysene and dibenzoforan have an obvious distribution in all source rocks of the Jurassic Haifanggou Formation, which indicate a significant terrigenous high plant input and a small amount of lower biological contributions. However, the shallow source rocks contain relatively higher values of cadalene/phenanthrene, biphenyl/phenanthrene and anthrance/phenanthrene ratios than those of the deep source rocks, reflecting that the shallow source rocks have more abundant terrestrial higher plants than the deep source rocks. The distributions of triaromatic steranes, fulorenes, dibenzothiophenes and dibenzoforans, benzohopanes and dehydroxyl-vitamin E indicate that the shallow source rocks were deposited in the swamp environment with relatively oxic condition and freshwater water, whereas the deep source rocks are formed in lacustrine environment with suboxic condition and freshwater to brackish water. In addition, various measured maturity-related indicators in aromatic fraction, including DNR, TNR, TMNr, TeMNr, MPI1, C28TAS-20 S/(20 R+20 S), MDR andβ-MTTC/γ-MTTC, as well as the distribution of benzohopanes, show that the Haifanggou Formation just have entered early oil generation stage, and the maturity level of deep source rocks is slightly higher than shallow source rocks.
