- Abstract
Results of many-year (2001–2007) observations on the small Il’d River, a tributary of the Rybinsk Reservoir, are given. River water chemistry has changed since the beginning of river water regulation induced by beavers. The construction of beaver ponds, giving rise to the formation of specific communities of aquatic organisms, facilitates the active mineralization of organic matter.
