Research Priorities for Helminth Infections.
- Abstract
The article discusses the need for research for helminth infections as reported by the Disease Reference Group on Helminth Infections (DRG 4). It presents several impacts of helminthiasis on human populations which includes poverty, decreased productivity and inadequate socioeconomic development. It mentions points to be considered prevention of the disease including assessing drug efficacy, developing appropriate health research policies and monitoring control interventions.
