- Abstract
The article reports that the U.S. Congress has delayed the passage of the energy legislation that would create significant impacts on building standards in the country. The delay has come after some disagreements caused by various economic concerns and the impact of the legislation on jobs. Meanwhile, several groups in the building sector have continued to coordinate with the members of the Congress to propose other legislation designed to give incentives for energy efficiency retrofits.
