In this article, the author discusses the proposal to revise the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) by replacing individualized education programs (IEPs) with standardized rule-based templates for those eligible students who share similar evaluation profiles. It mentions decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals in the case Bryant v. New York State Education Department on public education. It also mentions decision of U.S. Supreme Court in the case Board of Education v. Rowley.
