- Title
29-Millionen-Euro-Auftrag des DLR.
- Abstract
The German Aerospace Center (DLR) has commissioned the company Planqc to develop a digital hardware and software platform for quantum computing based on neutral atoms. The contract is worth 29 million euros and Planqc is collaborating with Menlo Systems and ParityQC. The company will build and install the quantum processor in its own laboratory rooms at the DLR Innovation Center in Ulm. The quantum computer is intended to be integrated into the DLR's quantum computing stack and could perform calculations and simulations faster than classical supercomputers in the future. Possible application areas include the design of new materials or medications, as well as solving complex problems in various sectors such as transportation, energy, and finance.
