The article focuses on a study related to role of realist reviews for understanding role of information technology (IT) in medical care services conducted by T. Otte-Trojel. Topics discussed include role of realist reviews of patient portals like analyzing benefits of health IT intervention; prominence of exploring literature by reviewers for identifying purpose of the theories and use of randomized controlled trials for providing information on outcome.
