The article reports on the emergence of expanded privatized student housing accommodating parents and students in the U.S. The rates for rents are generally between $400 and $450 a month per student, per bedroom throughout the country, except along the West Coast and in the Northeast where rates are much as 25 percent higher, according to Craig Cardwell, a certified property manager and a chief investment officer of Allen and O'Hara Education Services which manages student housing.
