- Abstract
Many workers in India are employed on coffee plantations, which are usually located at high altitudes with heavy rainfall. This article presents information on occupational dermatitis among coffee plantation workers. Numerous drugs, such as griseofulvin, tetracyclin and sulphonamides are known to cause photosensitivity. Similarly, fragrances can also act as photosensitizers. However, none of these drugs are known to cause lupus erythematosus (LE)-like erythema or periungual telangiectasia. Periungual telangiectasia is most commonly seen in collagen vascular diseases and rarely in rheumatoid arthritis.
