- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 53-year-old female who had an allergic reaction to cysteamine hydrochloride (CHC). The woman had worked as a hairdresser since the age of 16. She had flexural atopic eczema as a child, and at presentation informed the physician of recurrent hand eczema. CHC is used in permanent-wave solutions, and hairdressers are often exposed to this allergen.
