- Abstract
Lichen nitidus is a rare dermatologic eruption of multiple small flesh-colored papules often seen in the pediatric population and with increased reports among Black individuals in the literature. The pathogenesis and etiology of the condition are largely unclear.[1] As the literature on lichen nitidus remains limited, we sought to characterize the clinical and pathologic features of lichen nitidus in a large, multi-institution academic center. Furthermore, 27% of patients presented with lesions involving more than one body region, and lesions were found more commonly in the head/neck region in adolescent patients compared with adult patients.
