- Abstract
Dear Editor, Skin of color (SOC), defined as skin of racial groups with skin darker than that of Caucasian individuals, is under represented in medical training for dermatology. We present two patients with SOC and pregnancy dermatoses, one of whom has PG and one of whom has PEP, to illustrate some differences in the clinical presentation of these pregnancy dermatoses in patients with SOC. However, the dermatologic manifestations of both of these pregnancy dermatoses in SOC differ from those in Caucasians of European or Arab ancestry in that erythema can be more subtle and postinflammatory hyperpigmentation more prominent.
