- Abstract
The article discusses a study to see if diabetes numeracy is an important predictor of adherence to care management and blood glucose control using the Diabetes Numeracy Test (DNT-15 score) . Variables include care received from diabetes-focused centers and from primary care facilities, and patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. It shows that patients with type 1 diabetes who received care from specialty centers had higher levels of numeracy but did not show improved glucose control.
