- Authors
Casteel, Sarah Phillips
- Abstract
Presents literary criticism of the novel "Solomon Gursky Was Here" by Mordecai Richler and "The Yiddish Policemen's Union" by Michael Chabon. The author wishes particularly to provide a comparative racialization view of Jewishness that looks at Jews in literature not as isolated but as part of a larger whole, in this case Native American culture. Other topics include the Other in literature and the process by which the Jewish characters in the book attempt to change their identities.
