- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 63 year old woman with multiple osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (MOVCFs) who was made to perform percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP). Patient's condition appeared normal after 15 days of PKP and the patient was discharged with prescription of oral anticoagulant for six months. It informs that PKP is a new technique that was developed based on percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) in order to overcome the shortcoming of high cement leakage rates.
