- Abstract
This article, titled "Cover Picture and Issue Information," discusses a new system developed by Rüegg, Motes-Rodrigo, et al. that combines a robotic platform and a dummy to study the behavior of social insects, specifically the slender ant Leptothorax acervorum. The dummy, which is the size of an ant, provides tactile stimulation to the ants, and the robotic platform allows for precise control of the experiments. The authors believe that this system will help uncover the individual-level behavioral rules that govern social insect colonies and contribute to a better understanding of decentralized collective systems. The article includes a cover image illustrating the ant-size dummy and the robotic platform.
