- Abstract
The article discusses the research project "Measures for the realisation of the rights of the disabled to barrier-free access." It states that the project, which started in 2008 and continued its second phase in 2009, is based on two government documents, such as Akcijski program za invalide 2007-2013 (the Action Programme for the Disabled 2007-2013) and Strategija Dostopna Slovenija (the Accessible Slovenia Strategy). In its first phase, the study analysed the present condition of caring for people with disability in Slovenia. It says that the second phase of the project concerns the exercise of rights by disabled people to barrier-free access by applying the steps in Goal 1 of the Accessible Slovenia Strategy.
