Thailand's unsung heroes.
- Abstract
The article discusses on the health promotion and education provided by the Buddhist monks in the Wat Kae Nok temple in Nonthaburi, Thailand. It states that every morning and evening, the large shaded grounds of the temple are reserved for health promotion activities which includes aerobics for the younger persons and Tai Chi for the elderly with long sticks to energize mind and body before going back to their usual duties. It adds that the temple received a donation of five million Thai baht in 2001 to build a community clinic.
