- Abstract
The "problem of the things that are not" has long walking hand in hand with philosophy, since from the very beginning, the philosophy is faced with this great puzzle. In this article we analyze on the problem of "non-being", or the problem, according to Quine, the Beard of Plato. First, we will see how Quine builds problem Beard, and unleashes some attacks her. Subsequently, we look at how Alexius Meinong adds a hair tonic to shave with his Theory Object. Finally, we will deal about Bertrand Russell developed his Theory of Descriptions solving, among other things, the old Platonic riddle.
