- Abstract
The nursing diagnosis is an integral part of the systematization of nursing care, and no need for a habit of diagnosing is inherent in the academic knowledge and professional. This study is a descriptive exploratory qualitative approach, and aims to identify and analyze the nursing diagnoses in patients with pemphigus foliaceus. Data collection was performed at a national reference center for the treatment of pemphigus. Data were collected in a systematic way to determine the current health status and the patient's past, making use of the following methods: direct interviews with objective and subjective questions , subdivided according to the diagnostic classes Juall described by Lynda Carpenito-Moyet, and field diaries with reports of life experiences discussed in the group. With the help of these instruments, we obtained a first and thought-provoking understanding of the dynamic nature of the reality of life in patients with pemphigus. Note that the basic needs were affected predominantly within psychosocial coping, given the chronic nature of the disease and aesthetics. This study allows us to reflect on the application of nursing diagnosis as authentic and active practice that constitutes itself as an ethical and political commitment in caring.
