- Abstract
The article focuses on the necessity of exile and struggles concerning seeking new life away from a native place. This applies to the case of Trinidadian writer V.S. Naipaul, who exiled in England to pursue a writing career using English as his language. European literary writers including James Joyce, Samuel Beckett and Paul Celan have made literary works concerning desire for modern lifestyle as the reason for exile.
