Abstract
The article outlines a code of ethics for members of parliament. The purposes of the code and the public duties of parliamentarians are established. Character traits that should be demonstrated by members of parliament are listed including integrity, confidentiality, and objectivity. The conditions under which these traits should be applied are discussed, and instructions for how members in houses of parliament should conduct themselves are supplied.
