- Abstract
The article presents the discussion on integrated approach to perinatal and infant mental health (PIMH) services helping in guiding review and reform. Topics include psychiatrists working in the field attending to the mental health of new and expectant parents showing the socialemotional well-being and development of young children; and effects of prenatal stress on foetal development showing impaired caregiving interactions and other effects on the family environment.
