The article discusses a study on metacognitive training as a treatment programme for patients with schizophrenia, specifically for their cognitive biases. Topics include individually administered, single-module metacognitive training, cognitive biases driven by hypersalience of evidence-hypothesis matches mechanisms such as belief inflexibility, illusions of control, and reasoning heuristics, and the benefits of single-module programmes for delusional ideation, insight, and quality of life.
