- Abstract
The article discusses the performance of a team of Jewish students from Yeshiva University and Yeshiva's Stern College for Women called the Yeshiva Mighty Mites on the U.S. television quiz show the "General Electric College Bowl" in 1963. The team was comprised of students Shifrah Jungreis, Sheldon Fink, Lawrence Kaplan, and Asher Reiss. The author comments on the context of American Orthodox Judaism and the Orthodox youth movement and also examines the reception to the team's success among American Jews.
