- Abstract
The article discusses the historical issues of the optic neuritis (ON) and sensory disorder (SD) in traditional medicine in Persia. It states that the ON and SD are common features in multiple sclerosis (MS). It cites that ON is the first symptom of chronic demyelinating process while SD are generally called as swelling of limbs or trunks. It also mentions that the sensory symptoms are defined as inflammation of optic nerve.
