- Abstract
The cutting test of carbonfiber reinforced plastics is carried out by the technology of ultra-high pressure abrasive water jet, the distribution map of roughness is scanned by the scan µscan laser confocal microscope, and the average value of surface cutting quality is calculated. The empirical cutting formula of abrasive water jet is studied. The experimental results show that the average value of surface roughness decreases with the increase of nozzle diameter, the average value of surface roughness increases with the increase of pump pressure, and the surface roughness decreases with the increase of nozzle transverse speed. Through microscopic analysis of average cutting quality values, the optimal parameter combination of abrasive water jet cutting carbonfiber reinforced plastics is obtained: the standoff distance is 7mm, the abrasive flow rate is 5 g/s, the nozzle transverse speed is 90 mm/min, the pump pressure is 320 MPa, and the nozzle diameter is 0.26 mm.
