- Abstract
Diversi studi hanno evidenziato come l'esposizione professionale ai gas anestetici nelle sale operatorie pediatriche possa raggiungere livelli considerevoli, verosimilmente a causa del maggiore utilizzo di tecniche di induzione per via inalatoria. Il nostro studio si propone di valutare il livello di esposizione al Sevoflurano in due sale di chirurgia pediatrica, mediante monitoraggio ambientale con tecnica multi-punto. Le concentrazioni del gas e la sua dispersione ambientale sono state misurate in punti strategici all'interno delle sale per un totale di 44 interventi. Sebbene la media delle concentrazioni sia stata piuttosto bassa (1.32, DS±1.55 ppm), i risultati ottenuti hanno documentato una differenza significativa nella cinetica distributiva all'interno delle due sale, anche in funzione della tecnica anestesiologica utilizzata e dell'equipe coinvolta. La metodica utilizzata ha consentito, dunque, di analizzare in maniera puntuale la reale entità della diffusione dei gas anestetici e ha suggerito una differente stratificazione del rischio professionale in funzione della mansione svolta.
