- Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze the role of the State during the beginning of Operation Condor, focused on the eradication of crops and the fight against drug trafficking in the region of Los Altos de Sinaloa. There is a historical journey around the intervention of the Mexican authorities, who acted under the designs of the American will and its institutions; likewise, in a second part of the article based on the concepts: coercive violence and state margins, the sequels of military operations in the mountain area are addressed, giving an account of various abuses carried out against the population.
