- Abstract
"The current model of development is not a dynamic process able to achieve the objectives aimed at improving the living conditions and well-being on a personal, local and global level, and this is apparent when you consider the huge inequalities in living conditions and threats to the future of all of us "(Cesaretti, 2011). This awareness has forced, in the recent past, to rethink economic growth in ethical key, aware that «a closer contact between ethics and economics can be useful not only to the economy but also to ethics; in fact, the separation of economics from ethics has depleted welfare economics and has also weakened the foundation of much of the descriptive and predictive economy. It is, therefore, to understand, explain and predict human behavior so that economic relations can be fruitfully studied and the results can be used for descriptive, prognosis and intervention policy» (Sen, 2010). The main idea of this paper, therefore, is that this development is a dynamic strongly marked by ethical reference, because human action is never neutral, but carries within it and with it some meanings because the universal moral law written in the human heart is precisely that kind of common language that is used in the world to address the discussion about its future (John Paul II, 1995). Such action, then, must also take into account of the impact of the behavior on the environment.
