The article focuses on the Mental As campaign of American Broadcasting Co. which aimed to raise awareness about mental health issues. It says that Mental As was developed following a joint campaign by psychiatrist Patrick McGorry, producer, writer and presenter Andrew Denton, and economist David Bassanese. Topics include informed and unbiased representations of mental illness in popular media, the use of comedy in Mental As, and the variety, chat and fundraiser program "Friday Night Crack Up."
