- Abstract
The article discusses a study which evaluated whether polymorphisms in the TNFRS11A gene encoding RANK contribute to the development of Paget's disease of bone (PDB) in three different European populations of sporadic PDB patients. The DNA of the study populations was extracted from leukocytes in whole blood using the salting-out method. Findings of the study revealed that all genotyped single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (HWE) and the genotypes of duplicated samples were concordant.
