- Abstract
The article provides information regarding sap flow and hydraulic functioning of trees. It depicts that for trees growing in tropical and subtropical environments, high transpiration at nights indicates nutrient uptake benefits. Topics including plant functional traits, experimentation on artificially drought-stressed trees and ecophysiological measurements using water and carbon transport model, are discussed.
